Privacy Policy — Barcode Wallet

Barcode Wallet does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. There is no account, no server, and no analytics.

What the app stores

Everything you add — the screenshots of your loyalty codes, the store names and the notes — is written to the app's own private storage on your device. No other app can read it. It is never uploaded anywhere.

What the app sends

Nothing. The released app does not hold the Android INTERNET permission, so it is technically incapable of opening a network connection.

Permissions

The app requests no permissions. When you add a card, Android's system photo picker hands the app the single image you chose; the app has no access to the rest of your gallery. If you use the camera option, your phone's own camera app takes the photo and returns just that picture.

Backups

The "Export backup" feature creates a zip file containing your cards and hands it to Android's share sheet. Where that file goes — email, cloud storage, a local folder — is entirely your choice and is governed by whichever app you send it to. The backup is not encrypted, so treat it as you would a photo of your cards.

Deleting your data

Deleting a card removes both its entry and its image file immediately. Uninstalling the app deletes everything it stored.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at this same address, with a new date at the top.
